Western Oil and Gas Spills Tracker

Mar 1, 2021

Each year, the Center for Western Priorities tracks oil and gas-related spills in the Mountain West’s top oil-producing states—Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming—assessing what spilled, how many spills occured, and what companies were responsible, among other factors. Colorado and New Mexico make spill information publicly avialable and Wyoming provides information by request. The Center for Western Priorities obtains data from each of these states and analyzes it to show how spills impact communities and the environment in the West.

Check out each year’s tracker below.
