2013 Spills Tracker
Jan 15, 2014
In 2013, oil and gas companies reported nearly 1,500 drilling-related spills in two of the Mountain West’s top producing states. Colorado and New Mexico make spill information public, and the Center for Western Priorities obtained 2013 data from each of these states and quantified what materials were spilled and which operators were responsible in order to better inform the public on drilling impacts.
