The oil industry and their allies in Congress are asking the Trump administration for a wish list of rollbacks, from reducing environmental enforcement to reducing or suspending royalty payments to taxpayers. Who would benefit? Oil companies that recently met with President Trump and offshore drillers in the National Ocean Industries Association, a former client of Interior Secretary David Bernhardt. Companies that met with Trump paid more than $6 billion in royalties over 6 years.
