- 171 Spills occurred within 1,000 feet of surface water
- 115 Spills occurred within 500 feet of surface water
- 118 Spills occurred less than 50 feet from groundwater
- 31 Spills occurred between 50 and 100 feet from groundwater
- 54 Spills occurred in within 1,500 feet of cows, pigs, sheep, or other livestock
- 187 Spills occurred within 1,500 feet of a building
- 54 Spills were larger than 1,000 square feet in size
- 297 Spills were the result of equipment failure of human error
