Statement in Response to the Western Energy Alliance’s National Telephone Survey

May 2, 2013

DENVER—The Center for Western Priorities’ Trevor Kincaid released the following statement in response to the Western Energy Alliance’s national telephone survey.

“The survey comes from a special interest group that is backed by millions of dollars from oil and gas companies. It’s no surprise that the few findings publicly released were rhetoric advocating for more drilling on public lands. Academic-based polling from Colorado College has tracked voter opinions about drilling and public lands and shows tremendous support for our public lands and for a balanced approach between energy production and conservation.”
